Product Introduction
The Metallographic Hot Mounting Press (also known as a metallographic specimen mounting machine) is used to heat and press small, irregularly shaped, or difficult-to-handle metallographic specimens together with thermosetting or thermoplastic mounting compounds to form standard cylindrical specimens. The mounted specimens are convenient for clamping and grinding & polishing on a grinding-polishing machine, and are also suitable for observing and measuring edge structures and coatings under a microscope. The equipment is widely used in metallographic laboratories in fields such as machinery, metallurgy, automotive, electronics, and university research.
Main Technical Parameters
- Pressing method: Mechanical pressing or hydraulic pressing (depending on model configuration)
- Heating temperature range: Room temperature to approximately 200°C; common mounting compounds are formed within the range of 130-180°C
- Temperature control: Digital temperature control, temperature can be set and displayed in real time
- Time control: Holding time for specimen preparation can be set, with automatic alert or shutdown upon completion
- Mold specifications: Common diameters φ25mm, φ30mm, φ40mm, etc., selectable as needed
- Cooling method: Natural cooling or water cooling (depending on model configuration)
- Power supply: 220V single phase (some models are 380V)
Product Features
- Hot pressing ensures tight bonding between mounting compound and specimen, with edges not easily falling off, suitable for observing coatings and surface structures
- Temperature and time can be set, making specimen preparation conditions controllable with good repeatability
- Molds are replaceable to accommodate specimens of different sizes
- Benchtop structure, simple operation; one person can manage multiple machines simultaneously
