Product Introduction
The Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS) is an inorganic multi-element analytical instrument that uses an inductively coupled plasma (ICP) as the ion source and a mass spectrometer as the detector. Samples enter the plasma formed by a high-frequency electric field as an aerosol or gas and are ionized; the ions pass through the sampling cone and skimmer cone into the vacuum chamber, then through the ion optical system and collision/reaction cell, and are finally separated by mass-to-charge ratio in the mass analyzer and counted, thereby simultaneously achieving qualitative and quantitative analysis of multiple elements. ICP-MS offers the advantages of low detection limits, a wide dynamic linear range, and fast analysis speed. It can be used for trace and ultra-trace element analysis and isotope ratio analysis, and can be coupled with liquid chromatography for elemental speciation analysis. It is widely applied in fields such as environmental monitoring, food and drug testing, semiconductors and high-purity materials, geology and metallurgy, and life sciences.
